 Clarification: Telenor Microfinance Bank (Easypaisa) Denies Involvement in Acquisition Rumors

Amid the current news about Telenor Pakistan being bought by Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTC), Telenor Microfinance Bank Limited (TMB) wants to make it clear that their bank and their main service, Easypaisa, are not part of this deal.

TMB, which is regulated by the State Bank of Pakistan, said in a social media post that they've already said before that Telenor Bank and Easypaisa are not involved in the sale of Telenor Pakistan.

They mentioned that these rumors are untrue, and they will take legal action against anyone spreading false information.

TMB asked people to ignore these rumors and assured them that they will continue to provide reliable digital financial services in Pakistan.

Back in December 2023, TMB had already said that both the bank and Easypaisa were not part of this deal. They also reassured customers that their money is safe and this change will not affect them.
