Google's Pixel phones, like the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro, are really good right now. There's also the Pixel Fold, which is Google's first folding phone, and a cheaper option called the Pixel 7a. They're not perfect, but they're some of the best phones Google has made with the Pixel name.

Last year, people thought the Pixel 7a might be the last of its kind, but it looks like there might be a Pixel 8a coming soon, maybe even announced at Google's I/O conference in May. Some say Google might not upgrade these phones every year anymore, but maybe every two years, like how Apple does with the iPhone SE.

This year, we might see three new Google Pixel 9 phones: a regular Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, and Pixel 9 Pro XL. This would make the Pixel lineup more like Apple's iPhone lineup. If these reports are true, it would be a big change for Google, and I'm excited about it.

Google started making Pixel phones in 2016. In 2019, they started the A-series with cheaper options like the Pixel 3a. Now, they're continuing with the Pixel 8 and may even release a Pixel 8a soon.

The Pixel A-series might not get a new version every year anymore, which I think is a good idea. It's similar to what Apple does with the iPhone SE. Google might announce this change at its I/O conference in May.

For the Pixel 9 series, there will be a regular Pixel 9 with dual cameras, a smaller Pixel 9 Pro, and a bigger Pixel 9 Pro XL. This year, the phones might be smaller than before, which is good news for people who prefer smaller phones. This change would make Google's lineup more like Samsung and Apple's lineups.

This would also be the first time in five years that Google offers the XL size for the Pixel. If Google can keep the camera systems the same on all models, this could be a big deal for people who want a smaller phone without missing out on features.
